Local Domestic Violence Committees are a program of the NSW Strategy to Reduce Violence Against Women
Mission
The Southern Highlands Domestic Violence Forum is a group of Government, Non Government and Volunteers who are working together to raise awareness to respond to Domestic and Family Violence through education, support and advocacy for a safer and respectful community.
What is domestic violence
Domestic and Family Violence can include any behaviours used by one person to establish and maintain power and control over their partner or another person in his/her family, including:
- Physical Abuse
- Sexual Abuse
- Emotional Abuse
- Verbal Abuse
- Social Abuse
- Economic Abuse
- Spiritual Abuse
- Elder Abuse
- Coercive Control
